Gender Violence Prevention Graduate Assistant

 

Hayden is OCRC's Graduate Assistant for Gender Violence Prevention. He facilitates the Art of C.H.A.N.G.E. and the What Were You Wearing exhibits. Additionally, Hayden assists with general campus outreach and programming to challenge harmful narratives and promote awareness about gender based violence on campus.

Hayden is currently in his first year as a graduate student in the Mental Health Counseling program. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Psychology and minors in Women, Gender, and Sexuality studies as well as Mental Health. Hayden's current career goal is to work as a mental health counselor after he graduates with his master’s degree and eventually acquire a PhD to teach as a counseling professor. In his free time, Hayden enjoys reading, playing videogames, and listening to music. He's excited to embark on this new role and grow within this position to spread awareness about gender based violence.
