Supportive Measures
The university will offer and implement appropriate and reasonable supportive measures to the parties upon notice of alleged discrimination, harassment and/or retaliation.
Supportive measures are available to both complainants and respondents and are non-disciplinary, non-punitive individualized services offered as appropriate, as reasonably available and without fee or charge to the parties to restore or preserve equal access to the university's education program, activity or workplace without unreasonably burdening the other party, including measures designed to protect the safety of all parties or the university's educational environment and/or to deter discrimination, harassment and/or retaliation.
Examples of supportive measures could include, but are not limited to:
- Referrals to additional resources and services
- Altering campus housing and/or dining arrangements
- Altering work arrangements for employees and student employees
- Safety planning
- Implementing no contact orders between parties
- Academic support, extensions of deadlines or other course/program-related adjustments
- Crime alerts/timely warning
- Class schedule modifications, withdrawals or leaves of absence
- Any other actions deemed appropriate by the Title IX Officer
